MLG Vegas Recap

Posted by Royal Flush7 on

Royal Flush Seven’s Gears of War team competed at MLG Vegas several weeks ago, which was the first event with this new roster. After just five days of practice together, the squad was able to earn a respectable finish, placing 17th out of the 60 teams competing. They made light work of opponents such as Neume Gaming, Averse eSports, and FYC eSports, before a tough loss in the Championship Losers bracket, falling 2-1 against Impact Gaming. Of the recent performance in Vegas, the captain, Colin “Cxlln” Eckert said, “Small internal mistakes cost us big... All that matters is we are learning from it, sticking together, and using our time wisely to improve.” His teammates share the desire to build and grow as a team. Kyle “Raidhn” Levitski called it “just the start of what’s to come” for Royal Flush Seven. In response to the fan support during the event, Justin “Jedi” Johnstone said, “It was fun being one of the most hyped teams in open bracket and having spectators cheering us on. We really appreciate the love and support from our org owners and fans.” While this was a promising start for the new Royal Flush Seven team, there is always room for improvement, and the have high hopes for future events.
